An Inspiring Evening with Gordon Guillaumier at FORM

On 22 January, FORM launched its 2026 series of design talks with an engaging evening dedicated to creative journeys and professional evolution.

Designers, architects, and design & décor aficionados gathered at the FORM showroom on Valley Road, Msida, for an intimate conversation with internationally acclaimed Maltese designer Gordon Guillaumier.

The talk offered a thoughtful exploration of Gordon’s path — from his early years as a design student to the establishment of a globally recognised studio. Through personal anecdotes and professional reflections, he shared insights into building a design practice rooted in research, restraint, and cultural awareness, while navigating the realities of an international design landscape.

Set within the curated surroundings of the FORM showroom, the event encouraged dialogue and reflection. A lively Q&A session followed, during which attendees engaged with topics ranging from design process and materiality to long-term career development and creative resilience.

The evening concluded with a networking reception, providing an opportunity for meaningful exchanges among peers and direct interaction with the speaker. Conversations flowed naturally across architecture, interiors, product design, and décor — reinforcing the value of shared perspectives within the design community.

We extend our sincere thanks to Gordon Guillaumier for his time and insight, and to everyone who joined us for this inaugural event. This first gathering sets the tone for our 2026 programme — a platform for dialogue, inspiration, and connection within the world of design.
