The Importance of Sleep in Mental Health – A Hästens Event

As covid restrictions started to get lifted, the Hästens Team in Malta planned an intimate event held in their store, where guests were invited to attend a talk focussing on the importance of sleep in mental health. This was delivered by Clinical Psychologist & Psychotherapist and author of two self-help books, Dr. Edward Curmi.

He focused on explaining the different stages of sleep that we need to go through and how various psychological stressors can affect our sleep, following which he offered some techniques we can use that would help us fall asleep, as well as the importance of having a good quality bed.

After Dr. Curmi’s talk was finished, Julian Galea from our Sales Team gave a brief introduction on Hästens and the benefits of owning one. We also had a quick testimonial given by local hotelier Justin Zammit Tabona from The Xara Palace Relais & Chateaux Hotel who recently purchased some Marangas as part of their hotel refurbishment.

The guests were kept captivated and asked various interesting questions to our speakers, and once the talk was over, they were invited to try the beds and mingle whilst they were also treated to some drinks and canapés served by the Xara Catering team.
